Will you pledge just 3 hours?

We aren't asking for 3 hours a day, we aren't asking you for 3 hours a week, we aren't even asking you for 3 hours a month. We are asking you to pledge ONLY 3 hour during the entire 2011-2012 school year to help us at Clara Love Elementary! Imagine ALL that we could accomplish if every family volunteered just 3 hours a year. That would equal out to be about 1500 volunteer hours!

If you can pledge "Three for Me" please go to our Volunteer Page found HERE to make your pledge and sign up. On that page you can also tell us when you are available to volunteer and what areas and events you are interested in participating in.

As a reminder ALL volunteers need to have a background check on file with the Northwest ISD. If you have not yet done your background check please do so by filling out the online form found HERE. The background check is NOT the blue volunteer form you filled out at the beginning of the year. If you are unsure if you have completed your background check, please speak with the front office and they can check to see if you have a background check on file.

YEARBOOKS

We are pleased to announce the yearbook has been submitted for production.

No further "yea-haws" or photos will be taken for the 2011-2012 yearbook.

Estimated time of arrival for the yearbooks will be May 23rd.

Yearbooks will be sorted and delivered to the students homeroom class by May 29th.

We have purchased a few extra books that will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Cash only. Exact change is greatly appreciated.

Rhythm Path

Thursday, April 19th

Mrs. Gentry is bringing in David from Rhythm Path to learn all about drums and drum circles. Each grade level will get to drum for 55 minutes during their specials time in the gym. They will drum on authentic African drums.This event was made possible by a grant through your Clara Love PTA. To learn more about Rhythm Path please visit their website HERE for more information.

Drop off & Pick up

Thank you to all parents on working with us to get the students to and from school. We strongly encourage you to work with your neighbors to work on Car Pool or Walking Groups to cut down on the traffic going to and from the school. Please check the new Pick-up/Drop-off procedures HERE

We ask all parents to be patient with us and other parents as we work our way into the new routine.

Help our school!

Clara Love Elementary is now enrolled in the Target Take Charge of Education Partnership Plan. Our school will now receive 5% of money spent at Target from anyone who has enrolled their Target Red Card and designated Clara Love as their school.
